Howdy y'all. This is the first performance I've choreographed. I thought up moves to a lot of the words (a song by Bjork) and left some room for freeflow. I feel very happy to put something out there for everyone, finally, after hanging out on .org for so long.

Thu, March 20, 2008 - 1:07 AMWonderful work!
Your dance style/skills are very nice and such a relief from the usual set, and the choreography is excellent as well. You've been thinking!
I notice though, that your isolations aren't isolated, at least not until the very end of the piece. If this is on purpose, great, but I think you're missing a lovely opportunity for a magical effect. -

Re: Dance Performance In Eugene
Thu, March 20, 2008 - 10:00 PMThanks for the feedback. A lot of times I just flow with what my arms are doing, which is mostly moving. There are times when I intended to isolate, particularly when the rest of my body is waving, and it didn't come through in the performance. I wonder what it would look like to get the ball isolated and flow and then isolated then flow, while doing dance with it. hmmm. . . -
